Jean-François RAGEYS
- Former sports journalist and contributor to Sport-Auto Magazine, Jean-Francois RAGEYS came
to Morocco for the first time in 1968, to assist the Moroccan Royal Automobile Club to revive the
International Rally of Morocco in 1970, which was to be part of the FIA World Rally
Championship
- He founded PROMOCOURSE International in 1970 and worked for 30 years (from 1978) with
the Federation of Automobile Sports of Ivory Coast, to promote the Bandama Rally, a flagship
event of the World Rally Championship.
- Jean Francois RAGEYS' love of Morocco saw him work with the Royal Automobile Club of
Morocco to re-launch the International Rally of Morocco in 1984. Promocourse also help
Editions Lariviere to organise the Atlas Rally.
- In 1993, they launched a regularity event for rally cars and collectibles: the MAROC CLASSIC
RALLY was held for the first time between late October and early November 1993, with a score
of competitors who have become fans of Morocco and of the event.

Jean Francois eventually decided to run the rally in March, which is the beginning of Spring, and
an exceptional period in Morocco!
- He is assisted during the rally by some 50 people (marshals, doctors, mechanics,etc), but with
a core team comprising Dominique RAGEYS (Director of Operations), Fanny RAGEYS
(hospitality), Kamil El KHOLTI (Communications and Social Action); and Aurelian HAMART
(Road Book and technical coordination).
