La route du coeur
SOCIAL ACTION ...
WITH HEURE JOYEUSE
Since 2000, the Morocco Classic Rally is called: MAROC CLASSIC - "La Route du Coeur". www.heurejoyeuse.com
Since 2000, the Morocco Classic Rally has been called "MAROC CLASSIC - Road of the Heart".
We have worked ever since to justify this appellation, as demanding as the prestigious
sponsorship we receive from His Royal Highness Prince Moulay Rachid, Honourary President
of the Rally.
From the start, we established a partnership with the Happy Hour charity, whose serious and tireless commitment on the ground are well known. With the Happy Hour, we are committed to act on rural development, while continuing to work with unprotected children and youth in difficult circumstances.
The original aim of the Happy Hour was to encourage regional educational and social projects, in partnership with the creators of wealth.
Here's how we collect our funds. For example, some 664,000 Dirhams collected this year
through our partnership with Happy Hour was raised as follows:
- Auction sales: 57.5%
- Gifts from clubs and professional partners: 25.4%
- Raffle: 7.4%
- Donated by individuals: 9.7%
For the record, this accounted for 1.06% of total spending!
The lots auctioned (including jewellery, paintings, sculpture and collectibles), competed in generosity with the competitors who participated in the traditional courtesy Auction.
In 2010, Bernard Consten - former Rally Champion of France and former President of the French Federation - provided a rare piece: the Cup awaded at the first 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1923; this unique item, with a reserve price of 100,000 Dirhams, sold for 130,000 Dirhams by the end. Things have come a long way since the first auction at the Tata bivouac in 2000, with 5.5 million Dirhams collected.
