Organization
The 19th edition of the "MAROC CLASSIC - La Route du Coeur®” is an historical regularity rally reserved - by invitation to historic cars and modern GTs, organized between march 17th and 24th, 2012, by ANOME Sarl, under the auspices of the Federation Royale Marocaine des Sports Automobiles (FRMSA).
CAR TRANSPORTATION.
For any participant who requests it, the organisers undertake transportation of their car by AUTOTRANS from selected European towns - such as Dover, Calais, Brussels, Paris, Lyon, Geneva, Nice, Toulouse, Madrid ... (list To Be Confirmed) – to Morocco and back. This is one of the most popular aspects of the "MAROC CLASSIC" and is used by almost every participant. Loading, unloading, insurance, customs, transit, etc are all managed by the organisers. Participants collect their cars from the starting area in Rabat, where they have been washed, stickered and covered with a protective cover supplied by the organizers.
THE TEAM
A team of no fewer than 50 people, driving 30 vehicles, are in place to look after the participants. Clerk of the Course, coordinator, competitor relations officer, hospitality crews, time controllers, doctors, engineers, journalists and photographers - all combine their experience and skills to pro- vide perfect organisation for the participants.
SAFETY
Over and above the permanent and ubiquitous supervision of the rally by the Royal Moroccan Police, the national security service and the public authorities, every control will have telephone contact with the clerk of the course. The route will be opened by one radio vehicle and closed by one medical sweeper carrying doctor, mechanic and first-aid equipment. In addition, a medical ambulance will follow the rescue truck over the entire route, behind the last car. At the end of each leg, a medical centre will be available for all competitors.
SERVICE
A mobile workshop with four mechanics will be at the end of each leg, to offer help for any participants needing to keep their vehicles in proper running order. Anyone who breaks down along the route (a very rare occurrence) will be taken care of by a rescue unit, or by the flat-bed truck which closes the route, in which case a courtesy car will be available to the crew involved until the end of the following leg. Each evening, cars will be placed in a guarded car park.
TIMING
In 2012, the "MAROC CLASSIC" will adopt timing system through GPS technology, perfectly reliable, as it is already run on the main international classic cars regularity events.
