STAGE 4 : OUARZAZATE > MARRAKECH

31st Rallye Maroc Classic 2026

Stage 4: Ouarzazate > Marrakech

Today, the Rallye Maroc Classic connected Ouarzazate to Marrakech over 333 kilometers in a rich and varied stage. From the start, crews took an unprecedented route through the Fint Oasis, a wild and mineral setting on the edge of the desert, which served as the backdrop for ZR14. Stretching 14.7 km, this fast and flowing special stage alternated between high-speed sections and technical passages, offering magnificent views of the desert expanses and surrounding mountains.

Taznakht and Aït Benhaddou – Between craftsmanship and heritage The route then passed through Taznakht, known for its Berber rug cooperatives. Crews could admire the ancestral weaving skills and immerse themselves in local traditions. The morning continued towards the famous Aït Benhaddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage site and a setting for numerous films. A passage control allowed participants to take a moment to appreciate this exceptional site, with its ochre walls illuminated by the sun.

Lunch was held at Ksar Ighnda, a charming establishment on the banks of the Oued Ounila, providing a perfect setting to relax before tackling the afternoon.

ZR15 and ZR16 – Technical challenges and majestic panoramas The afternoon began with ZR15 on the Télouet road, used the day before but this time in the opposite direction. Tight hairpins and technical turns required focus and consistency, with the Glaoui Kasbah and the Tizi N’Tichka pass (2,260 m) as a dramatic backdrop. A small road through the red lands of the Atlas then led to ZR16, short but very technical (3.4 km). Crews enjoyed exceptional views of Jebel Toubkal, Morocco’s highest peak at 4,167 meters, its snowy summit majestically dominating the entire Atlas range.

Arrival in Marrakech – A contrasting stage The return via Aït Ourir brought crews to the prestigious Palace Essaadi, in the heart of Marrakech. This contrasting stage, spanning desert, oasis, historical heritage, and high mountains, marked a key stage of the rally, combining technical challenges, stunning landscapes, and an immersion into authentic Morocco.
