After a night spent in bivouac and waking up facing the sunrise, we had to get back behind the wheel to reach Foum Zguid and its gigantic expanses of the Moroccan desert, sometimes sparse with Berber carpets or thousand-year-old kasbahs. This half-stage leading to Ouarzazate offered two special stages to Tazenakht, the town where the famous Berber carpets were made. The first, not far from Foum El Oued along the Hamidi wadi, then the second, offering the mountain pass of Tizi N Bachkoum as an entrance to the large plateau leading to the province of Ouarzazate not far from the city of cinema. The Berbère Palace, an essential stop for the rally since its creation, welcomes us this afternoon for a well-deserved rest, in this green setting dedicated to major cinematographic productions having been shot in the region, for a moment of relaxation and rest in the course of this afternoon where everyone is free to stroll, between idleness and touristic visits of Ouarzazate. We have now covered half of this 27th edition of Morocco Classic and there is no doubt that many surprises are still on the festivities program that will take us to Marrakech.
